Malaysia, Mazandaran up
tourism ties
Sari, July 27 - Mazandaran and Malaysia explored Saturday possible
ways to establish and expand ties in various fields of tourism
industry.
During a meeting between visiting Malaysian Minister of Culture,
Arts and Tourism Datuk Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir and Mazandaran
governor general Gholam-Reza Ansari, the two sides discussed signing
a memorandum of understanding to bolster tourism coope ration.
The minister lauded great natural sight seeing in Mazandaran and
expressed hope that bilateral talks would implement aiming at
expansion of tourism industry.
Pointing to the successes his country has achieved in tourism, he
said Islamic states can set up a powerful tourism market and have
good cooperation to this effect.
Ansari, for his part, referred to agricultural products of this
northern province of Mazandaran and said, "Mazandaran with two ports
of Nowshahr and Amirabad can play an active role in transit of goods
in the region."
International developments have paved suitable grounds for expansion
of tourism industry among Islamic states, he said, adding Mazandaran
has the capacity to attract investment due to its great attractions.
"Iran seriously welcomes investment of Muslim and friend countries
in the fields of tourism and transportation," Ansari said. | |
